
Alistair has worked in the Construction Industry for 30 years, initially in general contracting, and since 1994 as our Managing Director. He has a broad experience of public and private sector construction activity and an in depth knowledge of the social housing sector. He is one of the country’s leading authorities on the survey, repair and improvement of system built low and high rise housing stock. He has significant design, procurement, project management and contract administration experience in housing refurbishment and new build projects.

Gary has been in the Construction Industry since 1979 working for Government Agencies, Contractors and in Private consultancy. His portfolio ranges between £50m defence infrastructure projects through design and build housing schemes of various size to estate-based refurbishment contracts. Since joining Michael Dyson Associates Limited in 1988 Gary has headed up our Asset Management activities working with local Authorities, RSLs, ALMOs and PFI bid teams in scoping, delivering and using housing stock condition data at both operational and strategic planning levels and all points between. Gary is also a qualified Partnering Advisor and has assisted many clients in understanding and achieving best value

Stephen has extensive experience of providing multi-disciplinary services to the private and public sectors. During his career Stephen has been responsible for major construction and engineering schemes which include housing refurbishment, new build and major Millennium-funded visitor attractions. Stephen joined Michael Dyson Associates Limited in 2002 with operational responsibility for the Contract Administration team. Over the last 5 years Stephen has focused his attention on the Best Value and Partnering arena and is recognised by many clients for providing professional services which include team building, workshop facilitation and multi-team coordination.

Lisa has worked in a marketing capacity within the construction industry for over 10 years, working for a national architectural practice prior to joining Michael Dyson Associates. She manages the business development team and has responsibility for marketing activities, bid management and the generation of new business with both new and existing clients.

Mark has broad experience in the social housing and charitable property holdings sector. He has had significant involvement in refurbishing non-traditional housing, procurement and contract administration. He has held senior project, surveying and managerial roles on behalf of our clients including responsibility for managing project safety both as a CDM Co-ordinator and as a Project Manager. Effective cost control and the management of projects to achieve high quality results, even in the most demanding of situations, have become the trademark of his way of working.

Andrew has extensive experience in managing Asset Management Consultancy, Public Sector Stock Condition and Private Sector House Condition Survey commissions and leads a team of Project Managers, support staff and over 30 Surveyors. He is responsible for delivering public and private sector condition surveys, planned maintenance surveys, pre-works surveys, measured surveys, HHSRS, Decent Homes & EPC surveys, DDA and FRA surveys.

Neil is an Architectural Technician with 20 years experience in the Construction Industry. Prior to joining Michael Dyson Associates Ltd, Neil worked for national house builders in a designer / project co-ordinator role and also as a design technician for traditional Architectural practices. He has an appreciation of a range of projects from large scale regeneration all the way down to single client specific designs and he is a qualified Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor. He is responsible for 8 Architectural Design staff undertaking a variety of new build and refurbishment design related activity.

Michael has been with Michael Dyson Associates Ltd since graduating in 1983. He has largely specialised in the structural surveying of Precast Reinforced Concrete (PRC) and other non-traditional housing systems and high rise blocks of flats. He manages a team of Project Managers and Engineering Technicians responsible for various structural condition assessments, design and associated reporting activities which support public sector planned maintenance programmes, stock transfers and PFI schemes.
